Hebcal displays today’s Hebrew date or this week’s Torah portion on your watch face as complications. The watch app shows the next 2 weeks of Hebrew/Gregorian dates and a full year of Jewish holidays and Parashat HaShavua (Shabbat Torah readings). No frills, no gimmicks, no notifications, and no ads!

The Hebrew date and weekly Torah portion can be displayed as transliterations in Sephardic (e.g. "Shabbat" or "Sukkot") or Ashkenazi (e.g. "Shabbos" or "Sukkos") or in Hebrew (e.g. "שַׁבָּת" or "סוּכּוֹת"). Select Israel from the settings if you are based in Israel and want to see the Israeli Jewish holiday & Torah reading schedule. The default setting is for Diaspora (outside of Israel).

Hebcal (pronounced HEEB-kal, as in Hebrew calendar) provides Jewish calendar and holiday information. Our mission is to increase awareness of Jewish holidays and to help Jews to be observant of the mitzvot.

Version History Rectangular complication now shows only today's candle-lighting times. Month names are abbreviated when they don't fit.
App calendar: after the first two weeks, the remainder of the year is grouped by Gregorian month to enable faster navigation.
Omer card now shows the evening the count is said ("Wednesday night, 19 May 2027") with the Hebrew date beneath it. 2.3.9 5d ago Sunset-based Hebrew date and candle times (optional): turn on "Use Location" in Settings. The Hebrew date then rolls over at sunset, and Friday and holiday candle-lighting times, Havdalah and Chanukah candles appear in the app and on the large rectangular complication on the watch face. You can adjust candle-lighting minutes and Havdalah in Settings.

Zmanim card: tap a day with candle times to see the details, under a Gregorian date header. Omer detail card: during the Omer, tap the day to see the count, the Sefirah, the Psalm 67 word and letter, and Ana BeKoach. 2.3.3 Oct 2 - Redesigned Parsha complication: the weekly Torah portion is shown larger and easier to read, with a Torah icon, and it respects your watch's text size setting.
- Hebrew dates, holidays and parsha names fit better on inline and rectangular complications, and names with apostrophes (like Ha'azinu and Sh'vat) and Ashkenazi month spellings now display correctly. 2.2.0 Sep 28 Fixed Parsha widget showing upcoming parsha on holidays.
The Parsha widget's circular/inline views always fell back to the upcoming Shabbat's weekly parsha, even on a day that is itself a holiday (e.g. Yom Kippur showed "Parashat Sukkot"). Now the holiday name takes over when today is a holiday. 2.0.4 Sep 24 Added support for watchOS 27 2.0.3 Sep 23 This app has been updated by Apple to prepare for watchOS 27 compatibility. No new features are included.

On the utilitarian large watch complication, displays a holiday name instead of weekly parsha if today is a holiday.
